Corinne Estelle Brunton

Corinne Estelle Brunton of McKinney, Texas went home to be with the Lord on August 23, 2020 at the age of 100 surrounded by her family. She was born on October 1, 1919 to Rev. William Alexander and Estelle (Naylor) Casseday in Houston, Texas.  Corinne married Walter A. Brunton on February 10, 1947 in Plano, Texas.  Corinne was a homemaker who loved to cook, sew, and quilt and enjoyed family gatherings.  She was of the Presbyterian faith and an accomplished pianist and organist.

She is survived by her children, Alice Swanson, Annetta Terry, and Eloise “Sissy” Long and husband, Harry; son-in-law, Larry Collins; grandchildren, Alex (Kristy) Philips, Melissa (Mark) Pate, Jay (Anna) Terry; Adam Terry, Paige (Eddie) Lunn, Lauren (Kyle) Waller, Chad (Misty) Long, Aaron (Carisa) Long, Christian Hill, Keith Collins, and Amy (Jason) Mandel; nineteen great grandchildren; nieces, Frances Lynn and Debbie Nance; and numerous other loving family and friends.

Corinne was preceded in death by her husband, Walter A. Brunton; daughter, Mary Collins; son-in-law, Jolly Wayne Terry, Sr.; sister, Dellie Sandlin; and parents, William Alexander and Estelle Casseday.

The Brunton Family would like to thank the compassionate staff of Encompass Hospice.  We ask God’s abundant blessings on our mother’s caregivers. 

In support of our local, state, and federal govt including CDC directives and to protect the physical health, safety and well-being of our community, only a limited number of guests will be allowed to attend the Funeral Service.

A funeral service will be held at 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, August 26, 2020, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas, and will also be live streamed on the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Facebook page and a recorded video will be available following the funeral service on Corinne’s obituary page.

However, when the maximum number of guests are reached, those who would like to honor Corinne and show their support to her family may remain at the funeral home in your vehicle, where you can watch the live streamed service on your personal device (laptop, tablet or smartphone) or listen through 92.7 FM radio channel on the parking lot.

Following the funeral service, a procession will make its way to Ridgeview Memorial Park for a committal service where all are invited to attend the committal service maintaining social distancing or you may remain in your vehicle. You will be able to listen to the service through speakers set up at the gravesite.
