Constance Mary Finckbeiner

Feb 23 1956 - Aug 19 2022

Constance Mary Finckbeiner, aka Connie, Stance, or Bubba, of Ponchatoula, Louisiana passed away peacefully on August 19, 2022 at the young age of 66. She was born on February 23, 1956 to Daniel Taliancich and Mathilda Taliancich in New Orleans, Louisiana. In the 1970's she fell in love with a handsome young man, Steven W. Finckbeiner, and they married on February 7, 1976; starting their beautiful life together. In 1985, they both took a leap of faith in careers, and La Place Feed & Seed was born. Connie and her husband were very much loved by the community. She was also known as a quote-on-quote veterinarian in a way. Customers would bring sick animals of all types in and Connie would lend her knowledge in nursing them back to health. She was definitely a jack of all trades and one of a kind. Anyone you talk to will tell you, there is no one else like Connie. She loved her family with all her heart.

She is survived by her four loving children, five beautiful granddaughters, and two beautiful step granddaughters, Steven M. Finckbeiner and his fiancé, Katrina Waldo of Loranger, Louisiana, and his two daughters, Elle and Seraphina; Kristin Fontenot and her husband, Jay Fontenot of Loranger, Louisiana, and their daughter, Klaire; Daniel Finckbeiner and his wife, Codi Finckbeiner of McKinney, Texas, and their two daughters, Iris and Lola; Kati Finckbeiner, and her husband, Christopher Fontenot, and his daughters, Riley and Harper.

Connie is also survived by her mother, Mathilda Taliancich, of Lacombe, Louisiana; her siblings, Germaine Carter, and her husband, David Carter of Buck Holts, Texas; Danette Taliancich of Lacombe, Louisiana; and Mark Taliancich of Lacombe, Louisiana; and her sister-in-law, Fay St. Germain, and her husband, Rudy St. Germain of Ponchatoula, Louisiana. As well as many other loving family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Steven W. Finckbeiner; her father, Daniel Taliancich; and her baby brother, Michael Taliancich.

Connie impacted many people's lives throughout her lifetime. She was a loving daughter, great wife, an amazing mother, the best grandmother, and the list goes on. She loved her children fiercely; and would do anything for them. She was the glue that stuck the family together. She will truly be missed by those that love her. There is comfort knowing she is reunited with her husband in Heaven. A beautiful celebration of life will be held in her honor.
