IN LOVING MEMORY

Constance B. Yeager

Jun 16 1921 - Aug 11 2023

Constance B. Yeager passed away on August 11, 2023, in Dallas, Texas at the age of 102. She was born to Frank and Margaret (Collins) Bennett on June 16, 1921, in Brooklyn, New York, where she was raised.

While working at Mitchel Field in New York, she met a handsome young Lieutenant, Paul M. Yeager, and they were married in West Hempstead, New York on May 14, 1948.  She enjoyed being an Air Force wife and embraced the lifestyle of new adventures and meeting people from different parts of the world.

Constance (Connie) continued to work as a secretary until she and Paul started their family.  She retired to raise her two children and be a homemaker.  When her children went to college, she returned to the workforce and ultimately was a top producer with AFLAC.

Connie always loved traveling, learning, and languages and eventually coupled that with a desire to earn her college degree.  She was able to fulfill her dream when in 1982, Connie graduated from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls with a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in French with a minor in German.  She also received the top honor of Outstanding Foreign Language Student in French.

Connie is survived by her son, Paul M. Yeager, Jr. of Mansfield, Texas; daughter, Christine Yeager of Dallas, Texas; granddaughter, Bailey Anne Yeager of Mansfield, Texas and numerous other loving family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul M. Yeager, her parents, Margaret and Frank Bennett; sister, Arline Bennett; stepmother, Catherine Bennett; aunt, Sarah “Sally” Collins Dawley; and her cousin whom she thought of as a sister, Dolores Dawley.  Connie will always be loved and forever missed by many.
