Conrad Richard Dohman, recent resident of McKinney, Texas and formerly a devoted resident of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma for 47 years passed away on December 16, 2024, at the age of 85. He was born on June 28, 1939, in Flushing, New York, to Conrad A. Dohman and Rahel (Buck) Dohman, Conrad lived a life full of service, love, and dedication to those around him.
On February 28, 1964, Conrad married Florence Marie Cappella in Farmingdale, New York. Together, they shared a life filled with love and devotion, raising a family and building a legacy of compassion.
Conrad devoted over 37 years of his life as a crew chief for American Airlines, a role in which his expertise, leadership, and commitment to excellence were evident. Outside of work, his passion for helping others never wavered. He volunteered in the recovery room at St. Francis South in Broken Arrow for 10 years, served as a Meals on Wheels driver in the Broken Arrow region for over a decade, and played key roles in the organizing of blood drives at St. Benedict. His generosity and selflessness touched the lives of countless individuals.
Conrad had a special love for working with his hands. Whether fixing miscellaneous items or building dollhouses for his grandchildren, his craftsmanship was a testament to his patience and love. He was also an avid walker and had a deep passion for the outdoors, finding joy in gardening, fishing.
Above all, Conrad was a devoted family man. He loved spending time with his loved ones, creating lasting memories during vacations, and occasionally enjoying an excursion to the casino. He was a man of faith, grounded in his Christian beliefs, and his kind heart and unwavering faith will be remembered by all who knew him. Conrad will be remembered fondly as a loving husband and father, doting grandfather and great-grandfather, cherished brother, and caring friend. His warmth, generosity, and dedication to family and community will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Conrad is survived by his loving wife, Florence Dohman; daughters, Patti Branson of Mckinney, Texas and Susan Fite and husband, Stephen of Edmond, Oklahoma grandchildren, Derek Branson and wife, Alyssa, Lauren Douglas and husband, Blake, and Brandon Fite; great-grandchildren, Walker, Brady, Graham, and Griffin; brother, Robert Dohman; and numerous other loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law, Kim W. Branson.
A memorial service will be held to celebrate Conrad’s life and legacy at a later date.
