Connie Irene Johnson

Connie Irene Osburn Johnson was born September 16, 1953 in Newton, Kansas to Manny Eugene Osburn and Marjorie Mae Covalt Osburn. She married Larry Thomas Johnson on July 5, 1975 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She and Larry had a son, Ryan with whom they made a home. She died Monday, April 24, 2017 at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center in Sherman, Texas at the age of 63. She was a resident of Sherman, Texas.

Connie was a graduate of Oral Roberts University and received her Masters from Tulsa University. She then went to work for Skiatook Public Schools, Jenks Public Schools and the Metro Christian Academy all in the Tulsa area. She most recently worked for the McKinney ISD as a Diagnostician.

Connie loved her job, she dearly loved working with children. She always said God had one more child for her to help. She loved reading, gardening, writing children’s books and poetry. She loved spending time enjoying nature on the C –bar- C Ranch. Connie loved her family. She was greatly loved and will be missed.

She is survived by sisters, Peggy Stefansen and husband Todd of Paden, Oklahoma, Cindy Florence Craig and husband Lyndon of Sherman, Christine Bridge and husband Loren II of Arlington; brother, Luke Franklin Osburn and wife Cindy of Tom Ball; nephews, Chad Johnson, and Jacobie Johnson and wife Lauren; nieces and nephews, Tyler and Karen Stefansen, Aaron Craig, Vanessa Craig, Loren Bridge III, Candace and Butch Bailey, Chad and Stefanie Osburn, and Paige and Kevin Barnett, several great-nieces and great-nephews, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Manny and Marjorie Osburn; husband Larry Johnson; and son, Ryan Thomas Johnson.

Memorial Services will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, May 6, 2017 at C -bar- C Ranch, Sherman, Texas. Officiating the service will be Brother Mike McInerney.
