Clyde Anthony Geer breathed his last breath on this earth early the evening of August 30, 2022.  He was born August 3, 1944 to Anthony Lorraine Geer and Elizabeth Elnora Horn Geer in McKinney, Texas.  He was preceded in death by his daughter Leslie Downs Geer and his parents.  Clyde is survived by his wife of 56 years Lucretia Lee Melton Geer, his daughter Ashley Geer LaTour and her family, 3 sisters and a host of other family and loving friends.  He was a gentle and soft spoken man with a dry sense of humor.  Clyde loved his wife, his family and his friends with commitment and passion.  He was an outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing and tendering the land.  In 2018, he created lifetime memories on a trip with his beloved twin granddaughters Leslie Madison LaTour and Lauren Elizabeth LaTour to Australia and New Zealand.

For all of us, Clyde was the person who held us up during crisis and loved us unconditionally.  He was kind to all who knew him. Clyde was the best example of a Christian man. He will be missed in this world and he is celebrating in Heaven.

A Memorial Service will be held at the First Christian Church in Anna (201 S Sherley Drive) on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at 2 pm, followed by a time of social interaction in the Family Life Center.
