Mr. Cloyd Randall “Randy” Covington, age 50 of McKinney, Texas passed away on September 16, 2004, in McKinney. He was born on November 21, 1953, in Lubbock, Texas to Cloyd Wilburn and Florence Avabelle (Whittington) Covington. He married M.E. “Gidget” (Gibbs) Covington on December 16, 1983, in Dallas, Texas. Mr. Covington was a tile contractor and was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his wife, M.E. (Gidget) Covington of McKinney, Texas; daughter, Janie Stubblefield of Dallas, Texas; mother, Florence Covington of Lubbock, Texas; sisters, Joyce Hardy of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Charlene Kirkpatrick of Lubbock, Texas and Wonette Riddle of Garland, Texas; brother, Dennis Smith of Bourge, Louisiana; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws; and many friends including Temple Baptist Church in Flower Mound, Texas. His father preceded Mr. Covington in death. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM, Tuesday, September 21, 2004, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Pastor Richard Wallace officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 7:00 to 9:00 PM, Monday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
