Clint Roberts, age 71, of Allen, Texas, passed away April 15, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer. Clint was born April 21, 1945, in Allen, Texas, to Claude Duvall “Buster” and Irene (Frasier) Roberts. He graduated from McKinney High School in 1964. Clint married Gwen Short on March 30, 1972, in McKinney. He was a member of Waddill St. Baptist Church in McKinney.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Gwen Roberts of Allen, Texas; daughters, Angela Hartzler and husband, Steve of Sidney, Nebraska, Jennifer Webb of Horseshoe Bay, Texas, and Stephanie Richardson and husband, Shaun of Fairview, Texas; grandchildren, Nikki Williams, Hunter Webb, Abbey Bentle, all of Horseshoe Bay, Jordan Pond and husband, Kyle of Kansas, Heather Hartzler of Lincoln, Nebraska, Connor Hartzler of Sidney, Nebraska, Andee Richardson and Lucy Richardson, both of Fairview; great-grandchildren, Kinley and Sadie; and brothers, Donnie Roberts and wife, Linda of Paris, Texas, Clyde Roberts and wife, Audrey of Leonard, Texas, and Walter Roberts of Aubrey, Texas, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Clint worked in the retail industry for over 50 years. His career spanned various department stores throughout Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma. Soon after he retired, he found a love for finding and selling collectibles, flower arrangements, and wholesale items at Canton and McKinney Trade Days. He made treasured friendships at Canton and McKinney over the last 15 years, and he will be dearly missed.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at Waddill St. Baptist Church in McKinney, Texas. Interment will follow at Allen Cemetery in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Monday evening at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen.
