IN LOVING MEMORY

Clayton James Iburg

Mar 21 2007 - Feb 19 2026

Clayton James Iburg passed away on Thursday February 19, 2026 after a long but brave battle with leukemia.   He was surrounded by his loving parents and loved ones as he passed from this earthly world into the loving arms of his Lord and Saviour.

Born on March 21, 2007 in McKinney Texas, he was the light of his parent’s eyes and adored by family and friends.  He loved everyone he met and loved BIG!  Clayton had a way of making everyone he met feel they were special.  It was so important to him that others knew they matter whether it was from a big hug, high five or a “I love you”, that is how he greeted everyone.  This gave him the nickname “The Mayor” by so many.

Wise beyond his years he was an old soul, which was reflected in this taste of music and his love of history.  He was diagnosed being on the autism spectrum at an early age but overcame so many obstacles and stereotypes that came his way.  He was involved in many extra curriculum activities from horseback riding at Manegait, music therapy with his dear teacher Samantha at Sound Starts Music, and sports with the Kiwanis Halo League of McKinney, The Frisco Miracle League, and The Keeper of the Game foundation.

Not only was he a gifted athlete, he gave of his extra time volunteering as a buddy to younger kids with both the Halo League and The Frisco Miracle League.  He also found his voice at announcing and sometimes singing at other division games with the FML.  This was a highlight to all who were in attendance.  The Keeper of the Game foundation was where he also shined.  Over a decade with the organization, he was a youth ambassador and official National Anthem singer.

The world was a better place for knowing him.  The impact he made in his short 18 years on this earth is more than most people will make in a lifetime.  He was an example of how it is to love unconditionally without expecting anything in return.  Clayton loved his family and friends more than anything and gave us many memories that we will carry in our hearts for eternity.

Clayton is survived by his loving mother, Tina Iburg, and devoted father, Mark Iburg of Frisco, Texas, Paternal grandmother, Sue Iburg of Conway, Arkansas, Maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Denice Perry of Conway, Arkansas along with his aunts, uncles and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Raymond Iburg of Conway Arkansas and his maternal uncle Michael Perry of Conway, Arkansas.

Pallbearers for the service will be Bryan Hoctor, Harrison Hoctor, Brian Hazelwood, Jeff Taggart Jr., Jason Huston and Guy Irving.

Honoree pallbearers are Luke Hammett, Devin Vinette, and Ben Hoctor
