Claude Earl Litton, Sr. of Dallas, Texas passed away on March 8, 2022 at the age of 85. He was born on May 8, 1936 to Luther Dowell and Virgil Christine Pearl (Clawson) Litton in Lonoke, Arkansas. Earl married Nadine Strickland on June 24, 1954 in Dallas, Texas.
Earl served as a deacon and as Sunday School superintendent at various Baptist churches in the Dallas area. He and his wife, Nadine, also particularly enjoyed working and participating in serving with the youth groups wherever they were church members. Most recently, Earl was member at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Cumby, Texas.
Earl was a general superintendent for Cohn Daniels Corporation for over 30 years and was a self-employed owner of CEL Mechanical in the Dallas area. He was a member of the Plumber/Pipefitters local 100 Chapter in Dallas, Texas since 1952. Earl also was past master of Hopkins Masonic Lodge #180 of Cumby, Texas.
In his later years, Earl found joy in serving the elderly and shut-ins in the area around Greenville, Texas. He worked at the Senior Center Resources and Public Transit Center of Hunt County preparing and delivering meals, as well as forming a personal ministry traveling to various senior facilities throughout Hunt County leading bible studies.
Earl is survived by his daughter, Debbie Conner and husband, Garry of McKinney, Texas; son, Gary Litton and wife, Pam of Mesquite, Texas; grandchildren, Mandy Meehan, Greg Litton, Jana Conner, Kristin Rue, Brandi Litton, and Christopher Litton; great grandchildren, Darcy Meehan, Colin Meehan, Skylar Rue, and Kamryn Rue; and numerous other loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 55 years, Nadine; son, Earl Jr.; brothers, L.D. Litton, Jr., Lewis Litton, Bennie Litton, and Alfred Litton; and sisters, Marjorie Berry, Gladys Coats, and Marion Holbrook.
A private memorial service honoring the life of Earl will be held at a later date.
