Clarence Merle Barbor, age 84, of McKinney, Texas, passed away July 30, 2008, in McKinney. He was born August 3, 1923, in Wellington, Ohio, the son of John and Beatrice (Moffit) Barbor. He married Elizabeth Murphy in Oberlin, Ohio in 1943. Clarence served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He was a commercial pilot and Road Commissioner for the City of Wellington, Ohio. Clarence retired from Wellington Rural Electric. He was a member of the Kiwanis in Wellington, Ohio and was a member of Lovers Lane United Methodist Church in Dallas. He is survived by his children, Linda Blackmon and her husband Bobby of Allen, TX; grandchildren, Patricia Gelsinger of Kinmundy, Illinois, Diane Zehner of Effingham, Illinois, Kathy Parker of Aledo, Texas and William Rinehart and his wife Brandy of Little Elm, Texas; great-grandchildren, Brandon O’Connor of Flora, Illinois, Johnathon Rinehart of Flora, Illinois, Tiffany Wicke of Flora, Illinois, Tanara Rodgers of Effingham, Illinois, Collin Sullsburger of Aledo, Texas, Quade and Alexa Parker of Aledo, Texas, and Preslie Rinehart of Little Elm, Texas; seven great-great-grandchildren; and daughter, Nancy Creech and her husband Jim of Modesto, California; grandchildren, Kim Ramos and her husband Marc of Modesto, California, James Creech, Jr., and his wife Anita of Modesto, California and Teri Gotshall and her husband Matt of Modesto, California; and great-grandchildren, Brett Yoder of Modesto, California, Madison Creech of Modesto, California, Matthew Gotshall of Modesto, California, Elizabeth Gotshall of Modesto, California and James Creech, III of Modesto, California; and sister, Norma Schindler of Elyria, Ohio. A memorial service with military honors will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 2, 2008, at Lovers Lane United Methodist Church of Dallas, Texas with Walt Lunde officiating.
