Clara Viola (Christian) London, 90, passed away on January 26, 2026, at her home in Leonard, Texas. She was born on December 1, 1935, to parents, Albert Bascum Christian and Mary Lee (Smith) Christian, in Honey Grove, Texas. Clara married John Wayne London on August 31, 1955, in Ladonia, Texas. They shared 45 years of marriage.
Clara went to Ladonia High School. Clara studied at Paris Junior College and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Master of Science in Library Science from East Texas State University. She became an elementary school teacher and later the librarian at Leonard ISD.
Clara was a member of the First Baptist Church in Leonard, Texas.
Clara will be remembered by her daughter, Rhonda D Robison (David) of Irving, Texas; son, John Wayne London II (Rosina) of Prescott Valley, Arizona; son-in-law, Alan Harris of Kingston, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Jason Warren, Stacie Warren, Laura Heitsmith (Stephen), Brandon Brown (Melissa), Jon Alan Harris (Chelsea), Jeremy Harris (Jessica), Patrick Harris (Samantha), Andrew London, Michael London, Katherine Wachs (Kurtis), David Robison (Tiffany), and Jaclyn Robison; grandson-in-law, Michael Preston; 24 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; and siblings, John Christian, Elizabeth Cox, and Dan Christian. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Wayne London; son, Roger Weldon London; daughter, Mary Alyene Harris; daughter-in-law, Stacy London; grandchildren, Jessica Preston and Mathew London; parents, Albert and Mary Christian; and siblings, Buddy Christian, James Christian, and Don Christian.
The family will welcome guests at a visitation from 1-2 PM, Saturday, February 7, 2026, at the First Baptist Church, 100 E Thomas St, Leonard, TX 75452, with funeral services starting at 2 PM. Following the services, the burial will be at Grove Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers for Clara’s service are Jason Warren, Brandon Brown, Jon Alan Harris, Jeremy Harris, Patrick Harris, Andrew London, Michael Preston, and David Robison.
