IN LOVING MEMORY

Christopher Aaron Holmes

Jan 31 1993 - Apr 15 2019

Christopher Aaron Holmes of Providence Village, Texas passed away April 15, 2019, at the age of 26. He was born January 31, 1993, to Edmond Rudolph Holmes and Debra Ellen (Bodell) Holmes in Margate, Florida.

Christopher lived a life that was bright and full. As a child, growing up in sunny South Florida was perfect for his sunny disposition. Fishing and adventure were a part of everyday life and like any typical young boy, the more mischief the better (especially when you had an older brother to join you).

He went on to play football both in high school and college where he really began to develop what was already so natural for him: leadership. Brilliant both on and off the field, he graduated from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science and went on to be highly successful in medical sales.

Chris was always ahead of his time. He had his own way and it served him well. Chris did as much as he could and had the tenacity to go after whatever he wanted. He was determined and driven, caring and generous, focused, self-disciplined, and wise beyond his years. Over the years, he transformed from a lovable little teddy bear into a confident, young professional —all the while maintaining his loving personality. Chris was a man of integrity and had a heart of gold. He gave selflessly to anyone no matter what the need. Chris sought understanding, cared about people relentlessly, loved unconditionally, and was a friend to ALL.  He loved living and was so lovable.

Chris met each challenge with gusto and no intent of failure. He loved with a capacity that was unlike anyone else. Selfless and strong, brave, yet tender—Chris loved God with his whole heart.  What we want the world to know about our Christopher is that he was created to influence the lives of others—this was his calling. He knew we all had the ability to influence others for bad or good. Chris was an influencer for good and for Jesus. He did it well.

We are proud of you, Christopher and cannot wait to adventure with you in heaven, someday.

Those left to carry on his legacy of influence are his parents, Edmond and Debra Holmes; grandparents, Dale Bodell and Patricia Bodell; sisters, Tiffany Millinder and husband, Kendale and Carrie Alford and husband, Joseph; brother, Andrew Holmes and wife, Rochelle; nephews, Trae, Kaden, Noah and Gracen; nieces, Zoe, Selah, Olivia and Justice; and so many cherished aunts, uncles and cousins.

We would love for you to join us to celebrate Christopher’s life at a memorial service held at 4:00 p.m., Friday, April 19, 2019, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
