IN LOVING MEMORY

Christopher John Murphy

Feb 08 1965 - Feb 17 2026

Christopher John Murphy, of McKinney, Texas, passed away on February 17, 2026, at the age of 61.

He was born on February 8, 1965, in Boston to Bill and Millie Murphy. Chris graduated from Franklin High School and carried with him the strong values of family, dedication, and hard work throughout his life.

Chris proudly served his country as a telecommunications specialist in the United States Air Force. Following his military service, he built a distinguished career in the telecommunications industry. He worked for Nokia, Nortel, and MCI before joining T-Mobile, where he served as a Major Incident Manager for nine years.

Chris loved to vacation in Ocean Park, Maine with his family. He was an avid reader with a sharp mind and a quick wit. Known for his humor and warmth, Chris was incredibly loving and devoted to his nieces and nephews. He found great joy in spending time with them and was a constant source of encouragement and laughter.

He also adored his beloved pets — his dogs, Max and Daisy, and his cat, TC.

Chris is survived by his brother, William Murphy (Nancy) of Mansfield; his brother, David Murphy (Jackie) of Westborough; his sisters, Colleen Murphy of Orleans and Kathleen Dacey (John) of Raynham; and his late brother Kenneth Murphy. He is also fondly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews, many loving extended family members, and dear friends.

Chris will be remembered for his intelligence, loyalty, humor, and the deep love he had for his family and friends. His presence will be greatly missed and forever cherished by all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life in Texas will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations are welcome to DFW Pug Rescue (www.dfwpugs.com).
