Christina Dawn Stone, age 46, of Gordonville, Texas, passed away suddenly on November 11, 2021, after a courageous battle with cancer. Christina was born November 14, 1974, in McKinney, Texas, to Robert Earl and Wanda Sue (Grimes) Thomas. She was the youngest of three children. She married Mark Stone on June 25, 1991, in Melissa, Texas. Mark and Christina were happily married for 33 years and had two beautiful daughters.
Christina was a kind and gentle person who loved spending time and cooking for her family and friends. She enjoyed spending time outdoors admiring the wonders of God’s creation. She had a strong passion for animals; dogs had the largest spot in her heart. Christina’s unrelenting spirit and strong faith encouraged her family and friends to persist in the face of many struggles. The legacy of Christina’s kind spirit, passion for cooking, love of animals and enthusiasm for life will live on through them.
She will be greatly missed by her husband, Mark Stone of Gordonville, Texas; daughters, Stephanie Horn and husband, Dustin of Frisco, Texas, and Samantha Stone of Gordonville, Texas; brothers, Mike Thomas of Gordonville, Texas, and Joe Thomas and wife, Misty of Leonard, Texas; niece, Jessica Ortiz; nephews, Jared Richter, Cody Richter, and Joseph Thomas; mother-in-law, Linda Stone of Gordonville, Texas; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, 109 S. Oklahoma, Celina, Texas, 75009.
