IN LOVING MEMORY

Chris "Tommy" Pineda Esquivel

Jan 27 1944 - Sep 02 2017

Chris Pineda Esquivel, age 73, of Plano, Texas, passed away on September 2, 2017.  He was born January 27, 1944 in Jaen, Nueva Ecija to Marcos R. and Lolita (Pineda) Esquivel.  On March 1, 1981, Chris married Esperanza Albano in Houston, Texas. After many years as a successful architect at JC Penney, he retired in December 2011.

He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. To all who knew him, he was a great character who always lit up the room with his jokes and embellished stories. He was known for collecting antiquities and loved to spend time in his pride and joy –his garden. To sum up his personality in one word – eccentric – he had his own style in fashion, hobbies and banter. These endearing qualities are why people adored him. All who met him would agree that these are some of the “Tommy-isms” that instantly made you comfortable and loved.

He is survived by his wife, Esperanza Esquivel of Plano, Texas; children, Kristin E. Mirchandani and husband Danny of Frisco, Texas, Paolo A. Esquivel and wife Gen of Austin, Texas, Henry Esquivel and Ben Warren of San Francisco, California, Chris Esquivel of San Francisco, California; grandson, Jaggard Esquivel; grand-dog, Kona Mirchandani; sister, Belen Abesamis; brothers, Roger Esquivel, Herminio Esquivel and Narciso Esquivel and many other loving relatives and friends.

Chris is preceded in death by his parents, Marcos R. and Lolita Esquivel; sister, Victoria Canlas; and brother, Jerry Esquivel.

The family will receive friends and family during a visitation on the evening of September 6th from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Plano, Texas on September 7, 2017.
