Cheryl Maxine Logan of McKinney, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2025, at the age of 78.
She was born on May 11, 1947, in Wichita, Kansas, to her loving parents, Charles Max Vinson and Gypsy Genelle (White) Vinson. Cheryl was raised in Great Bend, Kansas, and had very fond memories of growing up with her family and close friends. She graduated from Great Bend High School, class of 1965.
After High School Cheryl married Frank Kenneth Rogers, and had two beautiful children, Delton and Kendra. They were her love and joy and she adored them both in her early years as a mother living in Hutchinson, Kansas.
In 1986 Cheryl met her second husband, Jon, in Dallas, Texas. They dated for four years and married in 1990. Jon and Cheryl had a blessed and wonderful marriage for 35 years. During her marriage to Jon, they lived mostly in Carrollton, Texas, with subsequent moves to St. Louis, Missouri; Katy, Texas and a final move to McKinney, Texas, to be closer to her children and grandchildren. During her years in Carrollton, Cheryl was a hardworking insurance agent relations specialist.
In retirement, Cheryl was an avid reader, often reading a book a day, and she loved to play bridge with her friends as often as she could. She also loved to cook; her specialties were cakes and cookies. Cheryl enjoyed her final fourteen years in McKinney watching her grandchildren grow into young teenagers.
She is survived by her loving husband, Jon M. Logan, of McKinney, Texas; her children, Charles Delton Rogers, of Waxahachie, Texas, and Kendra Kay Rezek and husband Michael, of Celina, Texas; and her cherished grandchildren, Ava Rezek and Pierce Rezek.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents and her two sisters, Cuma Zeltner and Carla Yahne.
Cheryl was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose warmth and kindness touched everyone. To any of the lucky who knew her, you would quickly be enchanted by her vivacious personality and infectious laugh.
Cheryl will be deeply missed by her husband, children, grandchildren and friends.
