Cheryl Lee Busenbark of McKinney, Texas passed away October 10, 2022 at the age of 75. She was born on January 9, 1947 to Victor Gardell Mitchell and Katherine Illene (Thomas) Mitchell in Salt Lake City, Utah. Cheryl was a graduate of Cosmetology school in Salt Lake City. She was later owner and operator of Charms & Things Jewelry Store. Cheryl married John K. Busenbark on June 9, 1967 at the Salt Lake City Temple. When the family relocated to the Dallas Metroplex, she worked at Collin Creek Mall and Prestonwood Mall for over 14 years. Cheryl was a devoted member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Frisco, Texas and she was vey active in the church. Cheryl was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be missed dearly by those who knew and loved her.
Cheryl is survived by her beloved husband, John Busenbark of McKinney, Texas; sons, John Victor Busenbark and wife, Regina of Glenside, Pennsylvania and Scott Edward Busenbark and wife, Amanda of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Reece Kennett, Dalton Kennett, John Busenbark, and Katherine Busenbark; brothers, Jim Mitchell of Mesquite, Nevada and Kelly Mitchell of Magna, Utah; sisters, Janet Russell of Salt Lake City, Utah and Lisa Star of Riverton, Utah; and numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kori Kennett; granddaughter, Justine Kennett; and parents, Victor and Katherine Mitchell.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Friday, October 14, 2022 at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 5095 Coit Road, Frisco, Texas 75035. A private family inurnment will be held at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas.
