Cheryl Ann Foreman passed away on March 12, 2023, in Dallas, Texas. She was born on July 14, 1957, in Durant, Oklahoma to Thomas Edward Robinson and Glenda Joyce Scott Robinson. Cheryl touched so many in a very unassuming and caring way. She was a devoted daughter and sister, loving wife and mother, and cherished friend to so many people throughout the United States and abroad. She is very much missed.
Cheryl graduated from Savoy High School, Savoy, Texas in 1975 as Salutatorian. She placed in literary events in the state University Interscholastic League meets taking 3rd place in typing in state competition followed by another appearance at state placing second place in shorthand. Cheryl went on to progressing through the rungs of corporate America eventually retiring as an Assistant Vice President at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond. At the mid-point of her career, she earned bachelor’s a degree in business. Cheryl was a member of the First United Methodist Church of McKinney, McKinney, Texas. She served in the church as a member of the choir, the finance committee, and sanctuary service usher.
Cheryl’s interests were vast but centered mostly on the arts. She was an avid reader, often reading 2 to 3 books at the same time, an avid gardener, and considered one of the best cooks in the family, with her chocolate chip cookies being her specialty. On retiring she took up refurbishing old, discarded furniture, in her words, “…giving them another chance.” Cheryl had a passion for music in general and singing and playing the piano and keyboard. She was a member of the Sacred Harp Music Heritage Association. A founding member of the classic country/rock band C7 of Kingston, Oklahoma. Cheryl loved to travel and did so extensively with her husband and friends throughout the United States and abroad.
Cheryl is survived by her husband, Rick Foreman of McKinney, Texas; sons, Scott Todd and Brandon Todd and wife, Emily of Melissa, Texas; grandson, Randel Todd; sister, Charlene Stewart Lopez and husband, Fred Lopez of Corpus Christi, Texas; brother, Steven Robinson and wife, Jalah of Ravenna, Texas and mother, Glenda Robinson of Denison, Texas.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Edward Robinson.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at First United Methodist Church of McKinney, 315 North Church Street, McKinney, Texas 75069. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service at the same location. Interment will take place immediately after the service at Fairview Cemetery, FM 2645, Fannin County, Texas. A second interment will take place April 29, 3:30 p.m., at Jeffrey Cemetery, McMahan, Texas.
