Cherie Robin Burdeaux

Cherie Robin Burdeaux of Plano, Texas passed away on October 4, 2020 at the age of 64. She was born March 22, 1956 to Robert "Bob" Banks and Betty Jo (Otte) Banks in St. Louis, Missouri. Cherie was very family oriented; her greatest joys were spending time with her family, the holidays, traveling and being outdoors with her husband, Bob. She loved her friends and enjoyed the many experiences she had with them. Cherie was an animal activist, she loved the many pets she had over the years and she collected anything with flamingos. She had a love/hate relationship with the Dallas Cowboys and loved Barbra Streisand.

Cherie is survived by her children, Nick Burdeaux of Plano, Texas, Michelle Hawkins and husband, Tim of Anna, Texas and Lisa Burdeaux of Tyler, Texas; grandson, Colton Clark; mother, Betty Jo Banks of Plano, Texas; brother, Bobby Banks of Plano, Texas; brother-in-law, Ron Burdeaux and wife, Linda of Garland, Texas; sister, Laura Zuniga and husband, John of Tulsa, Oklahoma and her long-time best friend, Denise Nicklen and husband, Pat of Garland, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Burdeaux; father, Bob Banks and her son, Bryan Burdeaux.

A “come and go” visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home. Only a limited number of guests will be allowed to enter the funeral home facility at any one time to maintain social distancing.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, October 9, 2020 at Ridgeview Memorial Park, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas.

In support of our local, state, and federal govt including CDC directives and to protect the physical health, safety and well-being of our community, the following are Ridgeview Memorial Parks guidelines. All are invited to attend the Graveside Service, maintaining social distancing or you may remain in your vehicle. You will be able to listen to the service through speakers set up at the gravesite.

The graveside service will also be video recorded and will be available following the graveside service on Cherie’s obituary page.
