Charlotte Ray (Ragland) Buckmaster passed away January 20th, 2022 in McKinney, Texas at the age of 86. She was born to Chester Ray Ragland and Lillie (Jones) Ragland on August 18, 1935 in Groom, Texas.
Charlotte married Samuel Roger Buckmaster in Lubbock, Texas on February 18, 1955. They lived in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri where Roger served in the Army from July 1953 until his discharge in June of 1955. Upon his discharge, they moved to Oklahoma City where Charlotte began working for American General Life Insurance Company as a secretary. When that company merged with American International Group (AIG) in 1960 she and Roger moved to Nashville, Tennessee where she continued her 42-year career there as an administrative assistant to the senior executives.
Charlotte is survived by her brother, James Weldon Ragland, of McKinney, Texas, and her sister, Stacie Michelle Ragland, of Lubbock, Texas, and a host of other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Roger, and her sister, Linda (Ragland) Rebber.
