Charlotte Anne (Hearn) Dodrill passed away peacefully on May 21, 2018 at the age of 71 after a courageous yearlong battle with ALS. She was born on May 7, 1947 in Princeton, Texas. Charlotte was a 1965 graduate of Richardson High School, and then attended Texas Christian University graduating from Harris School of Nursing in 1969. She began her career as a registered nurse at Presbyterian Hospital where she completed 38 years in labor and delivery. Charlotte was a resident of Richardson, Texas from 1954 until retiring to Tyler, Texas in 2007. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Charlotte loved her family, friends, and her work as a nurse welcoming new babies into the world.
She is survived by her son, G. Wayne Dodrill and his children, Trey, Cole, Reid, Amanda, Gage, Claire, and Zane of Frisco, Texas; son Paul B. Dodrill and his daughter, Cody also of Frisco, Texas; brother, Gilbert R. Hearn and wife, Susan of Flint, Texas; nephew, Clint Hearn of Dallas, Texas; niece, Emily Hearn of College Station, Texas; and many other loving family members and friends.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur Randolph and Annelle (Morrow) Hearn.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, May 26, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
