A beloved wife, sister, aunt, and friend, Jean Coleman went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 21, 2022, in her home outside of Farmersville, Texas, at the age of 76 years. Jean was born on May 31, 1946, at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. Jean was under the care of Vitas Hospice and was at peace and blessed to be surrounded with loving care by her husband, Jack Coleman, her sisters, Donna Pitcher and Joyce Tatum, and her brother-in-law, Jack Tatum.
Jean worked as a bookkeeper for many years but enjoyed building and working in her arts and crafts business. Jean created her own designs and handmade one-of-a-kind pillows and serving trays which were sold at arts and crafts fairs across Texas.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents, William John Yonavich and Erma Virginia Yonavich, and a sister, Linda Birdsong.
Jean is survived by her husband of 55 years, Jack Coleman, her sister, Joyce Tatum and husband, Jack Tatum of Granbury, her sister Donna Pitcher of Farmersville, and her brother, Bill Yonavich and wife, Phyllis of Caddo Mills, eight nieces, and nephews as well as grand nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous friends.
Cremation services were through Hurst’s Fielder Baker Funeral Home in Farmersville. A private family memorial service is being planned in October to be held at the gravesite of Jean’s parents in Boerne, Texas.
