Charlotte Ann Douglas, age 76 of McKinney, Texas, passed away on July 17, 2011. She was born October 12, 1934, in Waco, Texas to Charles and Lou Ann (Barefoot) Bell. Charlotte was a loving devoted mother and cherished friend. She was an avid studier of The Word of Jesus Christ and wasn’t afraid to say what she believed, and shared the Word with many. Charlotte was a member of Metro Family Church of Plano, Texas. Her involvement in many Bible studies, led others to a closer walk with the Lord. Although she is no longer here with us on Earth, all of us can take comfort in knowing she is rejoicing in Heaven. She is survived by her children, Paul Douglas of Dallas, Texas, Byron Douglas of Atlanta, Georgia, and Melody Robinson and husband Darril of McKinney, Texas; siblings, Glenda Bailey of Santa Fe, New Mexico, Rodney Simpson of Lake Worth, Texas, Richard Simpson of Dallas, Texas, and their families; along with many other loving family members and friends. Charlotte was preceded in death by her father, Charles Bell, step-father, Jack Simpson, and mother, Lou Ann Simpson. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2011, at 2:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, in Allen, Texas with Pastor Randy Bailey officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas.
