Charles Franklin Williams

Charles "Charlie " F. Williams born July 2, 1944 in Hot Springs, Arkansas and passed March 20, 2020 in McKinney, Texas.  He is preceded in death by his father Charles Wesley Williams and survived by his mother Frankie Williams, wife Carol Williams, daughter Lisa Williams and Jay Scott Johnson, son Scott Williams and daughter-in-law Deidre Williams, Airman First Class Brody Davis grandson, High School Honors Student Emily Davis granddaughter, sister Kathy Bivens, brother Wesley Williams, and sister Judy Dostal.  

Charlie attended San Luis Obispo High School, graduated from California Polytechnic State University with a B.S.  After completion of his college degree, he entered the U.S.Border Patrol academy and went on to have a very accomplished career with several accolades as Supervisory Special Agent with DHS/ICE/INS in Dallas, Texas. Upon his retirement from law enforcement of 32 years, Charlie continued his education at the University of Texas at Dallas where he received his MBA and ultimately, his PhD in Public Affairs.  Charlie was a Veteran of the United States Coast Guard.

Charlie took great pride in lecturing at the local university, junior colleges and high schools in the area where he had a tremendous and positive impact on the lives of thousands of young adults and their career paths. Charlie, an advocate for higher education, was always willing to help the students achieve their goals whether it was college recommendations or job references.  Charlie's favorite pastimes were hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time with friends and family.  Charlie was well-respected in his fields and loved by all who had the honor of knowing him.
