Charles Ray Turner

Charles Ray Turner of McKinney, Texas passed away May 16, 2019 at the age of 85.  He was born October 2, 1933 to Waldo G. Turner and Nadine (Brazeal) Turner in Melissa, Texas.  Charles was a graduate of Princeton High School. He served his country proudly in the United States Army. Charles married Jean Slemmons on March 20, 1954 in Durant, Oklahoma. He worked for E Systems, currently known as L3 Communications for thirty-seven years as a supervisor. Charles was a member of Community North Baptist Church where he was a member of the Woodworkers team.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Turner of McKinney, Texas; children, Marty Turner and wife Kathy of Princeton, Texas, Michael Turner and wife, Danyelle of McKinney, Texas, Cheryl Coxwell of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Chris Turner, Cameron Turner, Jessica Howard, Heather Copeland, Colton Coxwell, Mikala Coxwell, Brandy Bull, and Brian Stiles; nine great-grandchildren; siblings, Patsy Agan of North Richland Hills, Texas, Billy Turner of Princeton, Texas and Judy Moore of Dallas, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving friends and family.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Jane Johnson.

 A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 20, 2019 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas. Interment is to follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
