Joanne and Gary Cox, July 29, 2020 Mr. Long was a wonderful man and teacher. He encouraged my son to take construction as a trade. He and my son were both going to start collin college this upcoming year so he would have been my son's instructor again. For the last two years he has kept my son from being redirected. He will be missed dearly.

William Newyear, July 29, 2020 I'm so sorry for your family's loss. Charlie - Mr. Long was a GREAT inspiration to my son. One day my son came to me and told me he was getting out of athletics and going to Building Trades. He told me he did not have a future in sports but he could have a future in construction. Kyle absolutely loved Mr. Long's class. He worked hard, earned many certifications and looked forward to Mr. Long's class every day. He went on to work for the City of Plano and did very well. He earned his back flow certification and went on to work for a private company doing back flow inspections. Plumbing wasn't quite what he wanted to do so now he is keeping very busy as an electrician. All those skills are thanks to Charlie Long. Thank you so much for sharing Charlie with students, he was a great inspiration to so many students.

Tyrone Harris, July 27, 2020 My early memories of Charlie when he was 11, 12 ,13 ... were the annual ski trips from Texas to Colorado with Bobby, Jan, Shara and Charlie and my wife Sherron and our five when we drove an RV though the snow to spend a few days of great times with even greater company racing down the slopes and laughing all the way. Love those memories. As we bid farewell to Charlie, we all appreciate that our world is a better place for the time he spent with us and the contributions he made to young people.

Charlie will be missed, not only by his family, but those who worked with him and his students.
