Charles Maurice Dawson, Jr. of McKinney, Texas passed away on June 25, 2021 at the age of 75. He was born on February 6, 1946 to Charles Maurice and Era Grace (Bond) Dawson, Sr. in Dallas, Texas. Charles grew up in the Pleasant Grove area of Dallas, Texas where he attended W.W. Samuel High School. He graduated from East Texas State University–Commerce with a Bachelor of Science. Charles married Martha Elizabeth Jameson on June 10, 1966 in Dallas, Texas. He worked as a Commercial Real Estate Broker in the DFW metroplex for many years. Charles had a passion for playing competitive softball where he made many lifelong friends. His greatest joy was spending time with his sons; coaching them in both football and baseball, with the White Rock Rebel Pop Warner football club and BBI baseball teams. He enjoyed vacationing in Galveston and taking the occasional ski trip. Charles never missed watching and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys. He was a member of the Freemasons. Charles was a long-time member of Eastminster Presbyterian Church, Dallas, Texas.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Dawson of McKinney, Texas; son, Brad Dawson and wife, Kim of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Justin Dawson, Andrew Dawson and Hannah Dawson; and a host of other loving family and friends.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Maurice and Era Grace Dawson, Sr.; daughter, Deanna Beth Dawson; son, Brian Dawson.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 Noon, Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. The Rev. Harry Meissner will be officiating the service.
