IN LOVING MEMORY

Charles "Chuck" Frank Buckley, Jr.

Aug 23 1955 - Dec 17 2020

Charles (Chuck) Frank Buckley, Jr. was born on August 23, 1955 in Monroe, Louisiana to Charles Frank Buckley Sr. and Cecile Dana Buckley from San Antonio, Texas.  He married Teressa Ann Baggs on July 31, 1977 in Denton, Texas. He died Thursday, December 17, 2020 at TMC Bonham, Texas at the age of 65.

Chuck was a loving husband, son, father, Pop, brother, uncle and loyal friend.  He supported his wife, children and grandchildren in their many endeavors, coaching first his son and then his grandchildren, receiving an award for sharing his knowledge and love of baseball with so many teams. A supporter of FFA, LSA, his community and Gym Star Competitive Cheer where he proudly wore an “I Never Thought I’d be a Cheer Pop, but here I am ROCKING IT!” t-shirt, Chuck was proud of his family's accomplishments. He loved to “run the chains” at the high school football games on Friday nights. Chuck was forever building and putting stuff together, working on motor-cross bikes and four wheelers in his barn; a special place he loved to share with the many children in his life, especially his grandchildren, making precious memories and sharing his love of tinkering. “I fix it GiGi” and “Pop can we go to the barn?” are phrases often heard in the Buckley home. Chuck was a fierce supporter of Terry’s many causes, whether it be crafting with family and friends, planning and going on many trips, or opening their home to any students or friends in need, Chuck was always right by her side to provide all the entertainment he could. A charitable man, Chuck worked with The Salvation Army, collected donations for Susan G. Komen, and volunteered at the Samaritan Inn. He was a selfless servant, had an eternal smile on his face, and loved his family deeply and unconditionally.

He was a dedicated employee at Primo Microphones, where he arrived early each morning to prepare the work space for his work family. Chuck has been the Quality Control Manager for 30+ years, and he fully enjoyed his work. His work family has been shocked at the loss of a good friend, and faithful colleague.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Terry Buckley, daughter, Stephanie Buckley, son, Jeffrey Buckley and his wife Crystal of Leonard, Texas; grandchildren, Tristan, Baylee Grace, Charlie Ann, Max, Jayden and Javien.  He was also survived by his mother, Cecile Buckley, sisters, Elizabeth Buckley of San Antonio, Angelyn and Gregg Larimer of Carrollton, Mary Ann and Gary Avignon, Alisen and David Bell, Susan and Damon Thorpe of San Antonio, Texas. He is survived by his sister-in-laws, Marrian Kitchens of Leonard, Beth and Danny James of Krum, Sherridan and John Rountree of Cedar Hill, Texas, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Frank Buckley, Sr, as well as his father and mother-in-law Harold and Stormy Baggs.

A memorial service will be held on December 30, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at the Leonard Church of Christ, 323 South US 69, Leonard, Texas.  Charles Wrenn will officiate the service.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Charles Buckley to LISD, #1 Tiger Alley, Leonard Texas 75452 for library books.
