Charles William Brown of Leonard, Texas passed away January 25, 2023 at the age of 55. He was born on January 6, 1968 to Jesse Brown and Sharon (Luzadder) Brown in Bridgeport, Alabama. Charles served his country proudly in the United States Air Force. He married Lynnette Benningfield on March 19, 1995 in Richardson, Texas. Charles had an established career as an IT Network Engineer. He was a devoted member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Allen, Texas. Charles was also a 4th degree member of the historic organization Knights of Columbus. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Charles will be missed dearly by those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Lynnette Brown of Leonard, Texas; daughter, Tia McCarn of McKinney, Texas; daughter, Justine Smith and husband, Cody of Whitewright, Texas; son, Timothy Brown of Leonard, Texas; son, Christopher Brown of San Diego, California; grandchildren, Jordan Komarnicki, Walter Komarnicki, III, Lillian Mae Plummer, Chara Payne, Mariya Brown, Kenshin Brown, Autumn Smith, Kodi Smith, William Smith, Cayden Smith, and Bo Magnuson; father, Jesse Brown Sr. and wife, Mary Ann; brothers, Jesse Brown, Jr. and Ryan Brown, Nelson Thomas, and Robert Carter; sisters, Jenny Sanchez, Becky Brown, Lovella Scanlon, Anita Thomas, and Rachelle Hill; and numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.
Charles was preceded in death by his foster parents, Kenneth E. Thomas and wife, Emma; and infant brother, James Brown.
A memorial mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 17, 2023 at St. Jude Catholic Church, 1515 North Greenville Avenue, Allen, Texas 75002. Following the service, a committal service will be held at the St. Jude Catholic Church Columbarium.
The family will receive family and friends during a visitation on Thursday evening, February 16, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. A rosary service to begin at 7:00 p.m.
