Charles Roland Finch, a resident of Richardson, Texas, passed away on July 6, 2024, at the age of 91. He was born on January 10, 1933, in Dyer, Tennessee, to Kelly Finch and Luna May (Jones) Finch. Charles married Carolyn Whitley on December 24, 1950, in Corinth, Mississippi.
Charles began his career as a sales representative and rose to the position of Vice President during his 39 years at Altria Corp, where he played a pivotal role in elevating the company from last place to first.
An avid outdoorsman, Charles cherished hunting and fishing, pursuits that brought him great joy throughout his life. He was also passionate about golf, achieving numerous victories in tournaments across the Tennessee Tri-State area. Known for his spirited nature, he proudly first shot his age when he was 65, and continued to do so every year until he turned 90.
Charles is survived by his devoted wife, Carolyn Finch of Richardson, Texas; loving children, Larry Finch and wife Carolyn, and Janett Kriss and husband David; cherished grandchildren, Angela, Charlie, Taylor, Alex and Kelsey; and great-grandchildren, Chapman, Sullivan, and Ira. He is also survived by his brothers, Paul Finch and wife Elaine of Chino, California, and Wayne Finch and wife Joyce of Memphis, Tennessee, as well as a host of other beloved family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kelly and Luna May Finch, and his brother, Gerald Finch.
Charles Roland Finch will be remembered for his strong work ethic, love for family, and passion for the outdoors. His infectious enthusiasm and dedication to his pursuits left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
The family will receive friends during a visitation on Thursday evening from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
