Charles Rex Tallent of Richardson, Texas, passed away July 20, 2018, at the age of 85. He was born January 22, 1933, to James Tallent and Violet (Johnson) Tallent in Leonard, Texas. Charles was raised on a farm in Trenton, Texas. He married Joan Madonna Jacobi in Bonham, Texas. Charles was a member of First Baptist Church in Melissa, Texas. He worked 35 years for the City of Dallas and 35 years for Melissa ISD.
Charles is survived by his daughters, Cheryl Ann Tucker and husband, Les of Plano, Texas, Janice Marie Jacobi of New Orleans, Louisiana and Carrie Theresa Tallent and husband, John Guidry of Savannah, Texas; grandchildren, Alicia Wylie of Cincinnati, Ohio, Travis James Tucker of Granbury, Texas, John Guidry, Jr. of Savannah, Texas, and Mary Eva Guidry of Savannah, Texas.
He was preceded in death by parents, James and Violet Tallent and wife, Joan M. Tallent.
