Charles Lewis Ducote, age 70, of Plano, Texas, passed away August 9, 2011, in Plano. Charles was born May 31, 1941, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Charles and Melba (Scordill) Ducote. He married Mary Jane Hammond on October 16, 1965, in Metairie, Louisiana. Charles graduated from Jesuit High School in New Orleans, Louisiana, class of 1959. Charles was a resident of Plano for twenty-nine years. He worked in generic pharmaceutical sales and covered the southeastern part of the United States. Charles was the past president of Dallas Fly Fishers and was an avid outdoorsman. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Ducote of Plano, Texas; son, Bob Ducote and wife, Kim of McKinney, Texas; daughter, Michelle Vyles of The Colony, Texas; grandchildren, Ryan, Katie, Meredith, Nicholas, Conner, William, and Deirdre; mother, Melba Henderlick of Slidell, Louisiana; and cousins, Pat Corona, Sandra Lucas, John Scordill, Gus Altobello, and their families. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, August 13, 2011, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas with Father Dean Pratt officiating. The family will receive friends during a visitation beginning at 3:00 p.m., Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home.
