Charles Burton Douglas, age 102, of McKinney, Texas, passed away April 3, 2013, in Frisco, Texas. Burton was born November 27, 1910, in McKinney, to Jesse Cook and Rittie Rosetta (Fisher) Douglas. He married Allie Aletha Odle on June 20, 1933, in McKinney. Burton worked for Collin County Feed and Seed for many years retiring in 1990. He was a member of Community North Baptist Church in McKinney.

He is survived by his son, Charles Douglas and wife, Lynda of McKinney, Texas; daughter, Glenda Tallant and husband, Truman of Plano, Texas; grandchildren, Brad Douglas and Becky Dyke, both of McKinney, Texas, Tragina Smith of George West, Texas, Michael Tallant of Frisco, Texas, and Greg Tallant of Wylie, Texas; thirteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brothers, Andrew V. Douglas of Huntsville, Alabama and Sammy Ray Douglas of Denison, Texas; and sisters, Verna Cage and Daisy Bickenbach, both of Van Alstyne, Texas, Maggie Lee Carrington of Sherman, Texas, and Gracie Hubble of Denton, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Cook and Rittie Rosetta Douglas, wife, Allie Aletha Douglas, brothers, Rex Douglas and Roy Douglas, and sister, Dora Wright.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, April 5, 2013, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday evening at the funeral home.
