Charles “Chad” Louis Kennedy III, age 55 of Frisco, Texas, passed away June 9, 2023, with his family by his side. He was born April 16, 1968, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, to Charles Louis Kennedy Jr. and Gloria Elaine (Smith) Kennedy. Chad graduated from Richardson High School in 1986. He had a successful and lengthy career with Ben E. Keith Foods as a Regional Sales Manager and in food sales. His restaurants, chefs, owners, managers, kitchen staff, and fellow sales managers were more like family and dear friends. Chad loved to play and watch poker, fishing, watching golf when he could no longer play, traveling with Kindra and their friends, hosting crawfish boils, and watching live music. He loved spending time with family, especially his grandchildren, and watching Aiden and Madelyn play soccer. Chad loved the LSU Tigers, the New Orleans Saints, and especially watching college football in person. He was dearly loved and will be missed by all those who knew him.
Chad is survived by his wife, Kindra Anne Kennedy of Frisco, Texas; daughter, Carsyn Lia Kennedy; sons, Jared Taylor Kennedy, and Jonah Michael Kennedy; granddaughters, Madelyn Gray Kennedy, Skylar James Kennedy, and Sofia Elena Kennedy; grandsons, Aiden Stiles Kennedy and Grayson Mateo Kennedy; mother, Gloria (Kennedy) Bello; stepsons; Connor Douglas Strachan, Bryson Thomas Strachan, and Dylan Michael Strachan; daughter in laws, Shelby Lynne Kennedy, Mia Natalia Kennedy, and Katie Gayle Strachan; and best friends, Andre Abide and Jeff Hamilton.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Louis Kennedy Jr., uncle, Ernest Kennedy, stepfather, Alan Bello, grandmother, Pauline Kennedy, and best friend Rachel Abide.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 16, 2023, at Grace Avenue United Methodist Church, 3521 Main Street, Frisco, Texas 75033, officiated by Pastor Billy Echols-Richter. Reception at 3:00 p.m. at Kelly’s at the Village, 190 E. Stacy Road #1204, Allen, Texas 75002.
