Charles A. Cash, age 85, passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 19, 2008 in Dallas, Texas. He was born August 3, 1922 in Malvern, Arkansas to Nell Elizabeth (Hughes) and Archie Cash. Charlie attended George Washington University and served as a pilot in US Navy during WWII. He had a tremendous Christian Faith, which sustained him throughout his life. After WWII, Charlie and LL Brown Jr. founded the BC Shoe store in Malvern, Arkansas. In 1950, he joined the New York Life as an agent, steadily rising in his responsibilities with the company. Charlie retired as Vice President of New York Life. He was a true leader--fair, firm, and direct--leading all to respect his decisions, to be motivated to take action, and to love him in business and personally. In 1986, he retired and enjoyed being with his family, friends, and fishing in the Pacific Northwest. Charlie was loved by many for his take charge attitude and servant’s heart. He had a great sense of humor and was devoted to helping people he knew and loved. Charlie is survived by his wife, Mary Jane (Ramsey) Cash; daughter, Elizabeth Cash Maus and her husband, Stephen Nolen Maus of Frisco, Texas; grandchildren, Richard Charles Maus of Frisco, Texas, and Cynthia Maus Carter and her husband, Neil King Carter of New York City. A Memorial Service will be held at Park City Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas on Monday, April 21, 2008 at 2:00 PM with Reverend Stan Copeland officiating. Interment will be held at Ridgeview West Memorial Park in Frisco, Texas, Monday, April 21, 2008 at 10:30 AM.
