Charlene Pate Loving of Celeste, Texas passed away on July 9, 2022 at the age of 74. She was born in Dallas, Texas on March 6, 1948. She attended South Garland High School and graduated in 1966.
Charlene retired from Diversified Health Care after working there for almost 30 years. She ascended to the level of Senior Vice President after starting as a collections agent in 1986. Charlene was a loving mother who adored her family. She loved Holidays especially Christmas. Her family never went without at the Holidays whether it was presents at Christmas or an abundance of food at Thanksgiving. Charlene loved animals and raised cattle for many years until the job of caring for them became too much in her later years. She always kept a dog or two as a sidekick to help her pass the time. She did things in life her way and didn’t try to be anyone but herself!
She is survived by her eldest son Michael Chester and daughter in law Kim Chester of Nashville, Tennessee; youngest son Chris Chester of Celeste, Texas; mother Dorothy Pate of Celeste, Texas; brother Jackie Pate and sister-in-law Beverly Pate of Wylie, Texas; niece Amy Kirkpatrick of Wylie, Texas; great nieces Amber Kirkpatrick of Lake Dallas, Texas and Maddie Maxcy of Wylie, Texas; nephew Todd Pate of Granbury, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her late husband Bobby Loving and father Charley Pate, Sr.
Charlene’s memorial service and celebration of life will be Monday, July 25th at 11:00 am at the chapel at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral home located at 701 N. Cedar Street, Leonard, Texas 75452. A brief graveside service will follow at The Leonard Cemetery, 405 West Hunt Street, Leonard, Texas 75452.
