Cecil Ray Davis age 78 of Frisco, TX died Wednesday evening, January 13, 2016. Ray was born March 15, 1937 in Aubrey, Texas to Bill and Katie Davis. Ray grew up in Frisco. He was an auto mechanic and owned Davis Garage for over 30 years. When he retired from the shop he went to work for the Frisco Independent School District. He met his wife Dorothy at the early age of eight years old and decided then that he would marry her someday. They married in 1956. Together they raised a beautiful family and were blessed with four children, nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Ray enjoyed playing baseball, watching wrestling and westerns, drives up North, and spending time with his family. His personality and the ability to find good in others brought him many friends. His work ethic and dedication brought him success in his career and his love for others brought him more blessings than he could count. He was a fighter and battled colon and prostate cancer and beat both. He was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2007 and overcame numerous obstacles in order to live a full and happy life. Ray’s life was a testament to his faith in Christ and he leaves behind a wonderful legacy of love in all those he touched.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy, his children Jackie and Alta Davis of Frisco, Sheila Storey and Will Parmer of Frisco, Barry and Antoinette Davis of Dallas, Misty Davis of Frisco, grandchildren Mindi and Eric Johnson, Jordan and Sam Davis, Colin and Erica Davis, Landry and Brittany Davis, Leslie Davis and Roy Welch, Morgan Davis and Katie Davis, great grandchildren Ronnie and Elliott Johnson, Lux Welch, Holden Davis and Parker Davis, 2 sisters, and one brother.

Ray is preceded in death by son-in-law Ronnie Storey, grandsons Elliott Storey and Eli Baxter, his parents, four sisters and three brothers.

Visitation will be Friday, January 15, 2016 from 6pm-8pm at Turrentine Jackson Morrow in Frisco and a celebration of his life will be held at the First United Methodist Church of Frisco, Saturday, January 16th at 1pm.
