Cathy Lambrecht, age 75 of Anna, Texas, passed away peacefully on Wednesday August 15, 2024, after a lengthy illness due to Alzheimer’s Disease. She was born in Wharton, Texas on August 13, 1949.
Cathy and her husband Mark met in Austin, Texas in late 1966 and were married on June 9, 1967, in Carmel, California. They were happily married for 57 years.
Cathy and Mark began their future together in Austin, then soon moved to Kansas City where Mark began a long carrier with United Airlines. After many stops along the way with United Airlines, they moved to Southern California for another career move, and then eventually back to their beloved Texas where they settled in for the last 34 years.
Cathy loved California where you could find her and her girlfriends on many days at the beach, soaking in the warm sun and cool ocean breeze; cruising in her red and white Mustang convertible, enjoying friends and family while on Friday nights, perfecting Karaoke at her favorite hang-out.
She had many joys in life including music, dancing, singing, travel, gardening, bingo, slots and of course family, neighbors, and friends. Her people friendly personality highlighted her knack for engaging in conversation with anyone she encountered, a social butterfly.
Cathy is survived by her husband, Mark; son, David and wife, Laura of Clermont, Florida; and son, Todd and wife, Frances of Cleburne, Texas. She is also survived by granddaughter, Lauren Potter and her husband, Matt and great-grandchildren, Kaelyn and Matthis of Gainesville, Texas, and granddaughter, Hannah of Anna, Texas.
