I went to High School in Midland with Cathy. She was a lot of fun, but always played by the rules. I am sad to hear of her passing but so thankful that I knew her. May God bless her family and give them peace. Betty Sue Rogers-Phillips, June 30, 2014 I am so so sorry I dropped the ball and was not in touch during the final days of Cathy's life on earth. My heart and prayers are with you as you look forward to your reuniting with her in Heaven. Gene and I remember what a great time we had with the two of you at Niagra Falls and the Erie Canal. Also our visit last spring in Allen at our Gina's house. Yours and Cathy's testimonies of God's grace during her illness have been such a blessing and lesson to us and so valuable as we will be facing trials also and will remember the example of faith and trusting in God that you have been. May God continue to bless you all with comfort as only He can! Love, Lorraine and Gene Lori Hoyle, April 10, 2014 I shared a November birthday each year with Kathy in our Red Hat meetings.I have yearly pictures of her I will always treasure. Her smile was wonderful and had a calming quality. I always felt at ease when I was with her. She will be lovingly missed. Diana Leonhardt, April 9, 2014 I wish I could be there to read a LADY IS PASSING BY because if anyone fits the definition you do my friend. I begin and end every day looking at the figurine you gave me, the two of us sitting and chatting. I tell you my secrets and desires and today I wish you were here next to me so I could share in person. My saving grace is knowing that Heaven is For Real and you are there. A Lady is Passing By We are all standing along her path As this Lady takes her last journey, Sisters all dressed in purple and red As a Red Hat Sister passes by. She will be passing my way soon. I can feel her spirit in the morning breeze. I am blessed that I came to know her Before this Red Hat Sister passed by me. The words of an old hymn comfort me. “Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far, And grace will lead me home,” In grace a Red Hat Sister is passing by. As she passes we tip our red hats in respect And our hearts crying shed tears of love. We stand in awe – she is one of our own. Our Red Hat sister is passing by. Love you girl!
