Cathy Duke Burke, age 67, of McKinney, Texas, passed away April 3, 2014, in Dallas, Texas. Cathy was born November 20, 1946, in Odessa, Texas, to William Clark and Lora May (Bruce) Duke. She married Robert William Burke, Sr., on April 30, 1983, in Plano, Texas. Cathy was active in the Ruby Red Hatters in Rotonda West, Florida and was an avid NASCAR fan. She was a member of Fellowship Church in Englewood, Florida.
She is survived by her husband, Bob Burke of McKinney, Texas; brothers, Will Duke, Jr. and wife, Ruth of San Diego, California and Richard Duke and wife, Cindy of Dallas, Texas; sister and best friend, Becky Roberts and husband, Mike of Midland, Texas; step-children, Kelly Burke and partner Chris Penzkofer of Carrollton, Texas, Rob Burke and wife, Sherri of McKinney, Texas, and Beth Allphin and husband, Brian of Frisco, Texas; step-grandchildren, Caleb, Addi, Lily, Lucas, Olivia, and Elizabeth; nieces and nephews, Bess Angi, Abbie, Phillip, Duke, Matt, and Stephen; and cousins, Ray Ann, Freda Sue, Lyn, Gail, Lori, Jacque Jean, Douglas, Suzanne, Sandra, and David.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends at a remembrance gathering on Tuesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., at the funeral home.
