Cathleena Ann "Catina" Briney

July 9, 1982 - June 6, 2018

Cathleena Ann “Catina” Briney of McKinney, Texas passed away on June 6, 2018 at the age of 35.  She was born on July 9, 1982 to David Brunkhorst and Heidi Pastore in Ft. Sill, Oklahoma. Catina graduated from Forney High School in 2001.  She was a member of Christ the Servant Lutheran Church in Allen, Texas. Catina sang in the choir and taught Sunday School. Her main goal in life was making people happy.

Catina is survived by her mother, Heidi Pastore and her husband, Ed Carter of McKinney, Texas; her father, David Brunkhorst and his wife, Kathy of Wills Point, Texas; her adoptive father, Patrick Briney and his wife, Crishana of Richardson, Texas; grandparents, Jimmy and Martha Brunkhorst of Pflugerville, Texas; and numerous loving relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00, Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Christ the Servant Lutheran Church, 821 S. Greenville, Avenue, Allen, Texas 75002 with Pastor Gordan Illausky of Christ the Servant Lutheran Church officiating.

Memorial donations may be made in Catina’s honor to the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital.

Catina I knew you a short time. I was never your stepmother I was your friend. I will always remember our talks when you would go to work with me. You sang like an angel. You never met a stranger. You talked to everyone and always had happy thoughts. I love you I miss you. May you take your angel wings and fly soar high with the angels!
