Catherine Smith Machost, age 49, of Allen, Texas passed away February 15, 2006, at her home. She was born November 25, 1956, in Bay City, Texas to Edward Wayne and Georgianne (Dornak) Smith. She was a 1975 graduate of Alice High School. She earned a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in 1979 from Southwest Texas State University. On September 1, 1979, she married Terry L. Machost in Alice, Texas. Mrs. Machost was a troop leader for the Girl and Boy Scouts of America. She was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Allen. She is survived by her husband, Terry L. Machost and children, Erin Nichole, Nathaniel, Jeremiah, Daniel and Rebecca Machost all of Allen; mother, Georgianne Smith of Canyon Lake, Texas; brother, Michael Smith of San Antonio, Texas; and sister, Debra Slayton of Montgomery, Texas; grandmother, Jessie Long of Bay City, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews and many loving friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Wayne Smith. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 17, 2006, at St. Jude Catholic Church in Allen with Father Anthony Moonjanattu officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 p.m., Thursday, with a rosary service at 7:30 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
