Casey Ray Self of McKinney, Texas passed away on December 20, 2017 at the age of 33. He was born on January 24, 1984 to Terry Mark and Lori Ann (Hill) Self in Plano, Texas. Casey grew up in Prosper, Texas where he graduated from Prosper High School. He attended Collin College where he received an Associate degree. Casey then enlisted in the United States Coast Guard where he served his country proudly for six years. Upon returning home, he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Science from Collin College. Later Casey attended Remington College and then continued his education at Collin College working on a degree in pharmacy. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, sports and working on cars.
Casey is survived by his father, Terry Self of McKinney; his mother, Lori Cooper and husband, Tom of Farmersville; his brothers, Josh Self of McKinney and Jacob Self of Howe; grandparents, Al and Kay Hill of San Marcos; and a host of other loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Delano and Shirley Self.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Dallas-Ft. Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
