Carver Frederick Montgomery was the eldest child of 2 children born to Fred Montgomery and Avria J. Lee, on March 5, 1968 in Chicago Illinois. Fred, as he was called by many, accepted Christ at an early age. He received his early education in the Chicago School System and the Gary Public school system. Fred later moved to Atlanta, Georgia where he lived for over 18 years. He was employed in the Auto Industry and later became a Professional Driver. While in Georgia, he was blessed to meet great friends, who became like family to him. He then decided to move to Dallas Texas to be closer to his youngest sister, where he became employed by Dallas Area Rapid Transit until his illness caused him to take an early release. Fred had a passion for people and a love for family and music. He was known for his infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate heart. Carver Frederick Montgomery departed this life on July 19, 2019.
He leaves to cherish his memories 2 sisters, Cheryl L. Woodiest of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Jennifer L. Montgomery of Lewisville, Texas; one uncle and 2 aunts, Robert (Martha) E. Lee Jr. of Gary, Indiana and Mildred Yancey of Merrillville, Indiana; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and great friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Fred Montgomery and Avria J. Lee.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Friday evening from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
