Carroll J. Woods-Shepherd

Carroll Joan Woods-Shepherd of Garland, Texas passed away on December 13, 2020 at the age of 85. She was born on May 17, 1935 to Arthur Woods and Alma Woods in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Carroll graduated from Elmhurst High School in Fort Wayne. In 1989, she went to work for E-Systems, which later became Ratheon. Carroll retired in June of 2000 after 11 years of service. Carroll married Max R. Shepherd on September 17, 1999 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was a member of the Christ Church Anglican in Plano, Texas.

Carroll is survived by her husband, Max R. Shepherd; daughter, Michelle Dayton; grandchildren, Ashley Dayton and Matthew Dayton and her sister, Shirley Woods Gillock and husband, Michael.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Alma Woods and her daughter, Valerie Greene.

In support of our local, state, and federal govt including CDC directives and to protect the physical health, safety and well-being of our community, only a limited number of guests will be allowed to attend the Funeral Service.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 21, 2020 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas. After the service, the recorded live stream will be available for viewing at the same link location.

However, when the maximum number of guests are reached, those who would like to honor Carroll and show their support to her family may remain at the funeral home in your vehicle, where you can watch the live streamed service on your personal device (laptop, tablet or smartphone) or listen through a designated FM radio channel.

Following the funeral service, a procession will make its way to Ridgeview Memorial Park for a committal service where all are invited to attend the committal service maintaining social distancing or you may remain in your vehicle. You will be able to listen to the service through speakers set up at the gravesite.
