Carolyne A. Curtis passed away on May 26, 2023 in Farmersville, Texas. She was born on December 15, 1944 to Loyd Allen Fort and Lola Mae Morrison in McKinney, Texas.

She grew up in Princeton, Texas and graduated from Princeton High School in 1963. Carolyne met her husband at the FreezIt in Farmersville, Texas and they spent 60 years side by side in marriage. She and Richard welcomed their first son Robert to the family in 1968. Followed by their sons Rodney and Russell with their daughter Roxie as the youngest. She was a very loving and supportive mother. Carolyne was always present at her kid’s events. She spent many years at a different event for her kids, every night of the week. She loved spoiling her grandkids and great grandkids and treated them accordingly. Carolyne’s family loved her cooking, especially her chicken and dumplings, golden rod eggs, and home-made enchiladas. She loved taking cruises and she took her first cruise in 2001 and has been on 27 in total ever since. Her cruises to Alaska were her favorites.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Curtis of Princeton, Texas; sons, Robert Curtis and wife, Brandy of Princeton, Texas, Rodney Curtis of Chireno, Texas, and Russell Curtis of McKinney, Texas; daughter, Roxie Hester and husband, Steve of Garland, Texas; grandchildren, Cheyenne Weathers and wife, Haylee of Corinth, Cody Curtis and wife, Brianna of Princeton, Texas, Ryan Curtis and Keaton Curtis of Chireno, Texas, Adrianna Crim of Blue Ridge, Texas, Jazzmin Gage of Tishomingo, Oklahoma, Kailee Benton of Denison, Texas, and Lexie Hester of Garland, Texas; great grandsons, Weston Curtis and Beaudyn Curtis and great granddaughter, Koa Raine Curtis.

Carolyne was preceded in death by her parents, Loyd and Lola Mae Fort and brother, Gene Fort.

A funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday evening prior to the funeral service.
