Carole Penelope Hall was born on February 4th, 1943 in Dallas, TX to Rogers and Josephine Ray.  Her friends and family called her “Penny”.

Penny passed away Thursday, May 4th, 2017 in Plano, TX, after a brief illness.  She resided in Richardson, TX.

Penny grew up in Dallas and attended Highland Park High School.  She married and raised four children as a stay at home mom.  Her family lived in the Garland area and later moved to East Texas.  Penny relocated to Richardson, TX where she enjoyed the company of several wonderful neighbors. 

Penny was an avid lover of animals and provided support to the SPCA and other animal organizations.  She adored her cats Sweetie and Amy.  Penny also supported veteran’s groups and children’s charities.  She enjoyed reading and keeping up with current events.  Penny was a huge Elvis fan and loved singing and dancing to the oldies.  She even taught her baby sister the twist!  She was a loving mother and treasured her grandkids who called her “Granny” and “Grandma Darlin”. 

She is survived by her four children and their spouses, Lyn Hall, Jackie Hall, Angela & Ron Foster,  Jason & Tammy Hall, 6 grandchildren, Harrison Foster, Lindsey Foster, Amelia Foster, Carly Foster, Katlyn Hall, and Christopher Hall, sisters and their spouses, Betsey & Oscar Walker, Julia & Scott Ohman, and cousin Pam Barbera, who was like a sister.

Her parents precede her in death.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made, in her name, to a local animal charity / organization.
