Mrs. Carol Elaine Jones Ellis, age 49, of McKinney, Texas passed away May 18, 2010, in McKinney. She was born September 19, 1960, in McKinney to Willis H. and Mary K. (Braddox) Jones. On April 22, 1988, she married Gerald Ellis in McKinney. Carol was a homemaker and a member of the St. Marks Missionary Baptist Church in McKinney. She is survived by her husband, Gerald Ellis; sister, Veleta Nelson and husband, Ricky; brother, Samuel E. Jones; children, LaQuisha Jones and Kevin Jones; stepdaughter, Breyon Robinson; mother-in-law, Myrtle Ellis; step-mother, Alvina Jones; step-sister, Sherrie Phillips; and stepbrother, Alvin Boyd; grandparents, Harold L. and Luella Jones; 6 grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Kay Webb, Rose Ellis and Peggy Johnson; and a host of other loving family and many friends. Carol was preceded in death by her father, Willis Jones; mother, Mary K. Jones; sister, Pamela Jones; and brother, Patrick Jones. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 22, 2010, at the St. Marks Baptist Church with Pastor Charles Wattley officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience Friday to pay their respects and to sign the register book. The family will receive friends during a visitation Friday evening from 7:00–8:00 p.m.
