Carol J. (Kilgroe) Brown was born October 16, 1933 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Ernest H. and Sarah Hampton Kilgroe. She died at her home in Mesquite on Sunday, December 6, 2009. She grew up in Whitewright, Texas. She married Billy Earl Brown in 1953, later moved to Dallas and then to Mesquite in 1959. She retired from Texas Instruments/Raytheon in the 1980s. Carol was a member of the St. Mark's United Methodist Church. She is survived by her children, Sara Kathryn Conrad, Jana Carol Peacock, Mark Hampton Brown, and David Lance Brown; sister, Lavern Darwin; 5 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and many other family members and friends. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at 1:00pm at the Pilot Grove Cemetery. Officiating the service will be Jimmie Houchin.
