Carol Jean Brechter, age 66 of Allen, Texas passed away May 25, 2012. She was born July 12, 1945 in Fayetteville, Arkansas to Robert Lee Schuman and Helen Marie (Delany) Courneya. Carol grew up in Arkansas, Kansas and Louisiana. She worked as an accountant for Metco, Diversco and Texas Tops. Carol enjoyed playing pinochle, working on the computer, and especially spending time with her little “tiger” Vance. She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Dallas, Texas.
She is survived by her children, Curtis Geoffrey Brechter of San Diego, California, Nicole Lynn Esparza and husband, Vincent of Allen, Texas and their father, Gary Brechter; grandchildren, Stephanie Carr, Heather Lenhig, Maximilian Lenhig and Vance Ralph Esparza; sister, Patricia Mankin; brother, Richard Schuman; nieces and nephews, Mike, Mark, Amber and Amy and a host of other loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Schuman and Marie Courneya; granddaughter, Jacquelyn Carr; brother, Gary Schuman and her sister-in-law, Lorelei Schuman.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 29, 2012 in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Pastor John Vieths officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park, Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Monday evening beginning at 6:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Allen, Texas.
